Coats - Aptan Bonded Nylon Navy 3500m

Coats Aptan AW has a special water resistent finish which inhibits the capillary effect, thereby ensuring that no water is taken up by the thread.

This sewing thread is a lubricated nylon thread made from pre-stabilised continuous filament nylon 6.6. When the correct sewing tension is used, the transport of water through the needle hole is prevented.

Aptan AW is an ideal thread to use on heavy footwear and outdoor applications such as awning and tent sewing. It has controlled stretch characteristics and a soft, low friction finish, which reduces the effects of needle heat and offers excellent abrasion resistance.

Compared with the typical sewing threads made from polyester, Aptan AW has higher strength and slightly higher elongation properties.

Coats Aptan 60 sewing thread is a premium nylon bonded thread, and is recommended for strenuous industrial applications such as sportswear, footwear, leather goods, seat trims, plastics, outdoor equipment, webbings and upholstery.

Coats Aptan is a lubricated nylon thread made from pre-stabilised continuous filament nylon 6.6 and is suitable for garment dye programmes with nylon fabrics.
